She has successfully completed more than 16 research projects in the field of gynecology, with over 8 projects currently in progress. Her scholarly contributions include more than 100 publications in national and international indexed journals.

Dr. Sharma has also played a significant role in organizing major academic events. She was the Organizing Chairperson for the National CMEs held at GS Medical College and Hospital — including the Suturing & Knotting Workshop 2024 and Gynae Onco-Surg 2024. She has been a distinguished faculty member and chairperson at several state and national CMEs and conferences.

Presently, she is serving as the Organizing Chairperson of the upcoming International Conference of Surgeons & Gynaecologists — SELSI NZ CON 2025, scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on 5th, 6th, and 7th September 2025.
As a Pro-Vice Chancellor of GS University, she plays a key role in its strategic development and growth. Additionally, she holds the positions of Professor and Head of the Department of Gynaecology at GS Medical College and Hospital and GS Super Speciality Hospital. She also serves as the Vice-President of the Hapur Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society (HOAS). Under her visionary leadership and guidance, GS University and its affiliated institutions continue to achieve remarkable progress.
