GS University, established by the Shri Jaipal Singh Sharma Trust, gained its university status through the Uttar Pradesh Government under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2019. The institution's establishment was further supported by the Uttar Pradesh Private University (Fifth Amendment) Ordinance of 2024. GS University’s various courses are recognized and affiliated with esteemed authorities such as the National Medical Commission (NMC), New Delhi; Ministry of Ayush, New Delhi; National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), New Delhi; Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University, Gorakhpur; Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi; UP State Medical Faculty, Lucknow; Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut; and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow.
